Tricare Vision Plans FEDVIP FAQ
What is FEDVIP?
FEDVIP is the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (Tricare vision insurance).
FEDVIP is a voluntary, dental and vision program available to Federal employees and annuitants and certain uniformed service members.
When Can I enroll?
Tricare "Open Season" (enrollment period) begins Monday November 11th 2019. During this time you can enroll in FEDVIP vision plans. The open enrollment period ends on December 9th, 2019.
How many vision plans are there?
You can choose between four carriers and 8 different vision plans.

6 out of the 8 vision plans.

Am I eligible for Tricare's vision insurance?
Eligible beneficiaries will have the opportunity to enroll in the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) during Federal Benefits Open Season for coverage beginning in 2019.
What if I missed open season?
If you inteded to enroll in the FEDVIP insurance program before the end of the Federal Benefits Open Season on December 9, 2019 but were unable to do so for some reason that were beyond your control, visit www.benefeds.com to find out what options are available to you.
If you missed TRICARE Open Season, you still have time to act!
Eligible beneficiaries can take advantage of a one-time grace period extension, which ends on December 31 2019.
